LABEL MARKETING MANAGER CONTRACT  (MATERNITY LEAVE)

Contract Dates: March 1, 2025 - April 30, 2026

We are seeking a dynamic, highly organized, and self-motivated Marketing Manager / A&R to join our team temporarily during maternity leave, with the potential for the position to continue beyond this period. The Marketing Manager / A&R will proactively oversee multiple projects within our label, serving as a direct point of contact between artists and their teams, ensuring seamless communication and coordination. Additionally, the Marketing Manager / A&R must be comfortable working independently, as much of the work involves managing tasks and projects autonomously.

Roles and Responsibilities 

Marketing / A&R

  • Develop and execute creative marketing strategies, including campaign planning, content curation, and fan engagement  

  • Coordinate and manage radio, press and marketing campaigns 

  • Write copy for promotional assets, including one-sheets, email blasts, highlight blasts, posters, print ads, and more.

  • Set up releases for digital and physical distribution, including pitching to editorial playlists and updating artist assets across digital streaming platforms

  • Collaborate with artists and external partners (e.g., PR agencies, videographers, suppliers) to align branding, messaging, and marketing assets, while ensuring all stakeholders have access to project assets (e.g., digital content, listening links, images, and text).

  •  A&R new potential artist signings

  • Attend artist shows and industry events to represent ArtHaus and build new relationships

  • Manage and update ArtHaus and artist social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok)

  • Analyze campaign performance and share insights to inform future strategies

  • Fulfill mail orders, counting, and updating inventory for hard and soft goods

Administration / General 

  • Research and co-write funding applications for artist projects, including releases, travel, and professional development

  • Manage project budgets, track expenses and process invoices related to artist projects and label activities, coordinating with accounting team when appropriate

  • Refine existing ArtHaus processes or develop new ones to enhance efficiency and creativity 

Qualifications

  • Previous independent or major label experience 

  • Action-oriented self-starter with a proactive approach to tasks and problem-solving.

  • Innovative thinker with the ability to lead projects independently and drive them to successful completion.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both internal and external audiences.

  • Established network of third-party agencies, including media and publicity firms, across multiple platforms and genres.

  • Knowledgeable in working across different music genres and adapting strategies to align with each.

  • Creative and proficient in design and communication tools such as Canva, Mailchimp, Squarespace
