COURSE OVERVIEW

Music Professional Program

This four-week program provides a holistic exploration of historical, creative, and economic considerations of music — including production, marketing, entrepreneurship, performance and beyond. Participants set goals and develop professional learning plans to identify actionable next steps and ongoing strategies for career and artistic development. Participants examine and reflect on a wide variety of topics and contexts and expand their understanding of the steps necessary for success.

Sandy Pandya

Sandy Pandya paved her own lane in the Canadian music industry, cementing herself as a leader and advancing the careers of the artists she represents. Her passion for music and inability to accept the word “no” supported her affinity for championing underdogs, which afforded her a career spanning over 20 years and counting. ArtHaus is led by Sandya Pandya, and has grown out of her company Pandyamonium Management and Publishing. Today the organization encompasses the ArtHaus Music label, as well as the ArtHaus Management and Publishing companies. Pandya has been a creative force in the music industry working with artists such as Frank Dukes, Serena Ryder, Doc McKinney, Mike Sonier, Hawksley Workman, Hayden, Tegan and Sara, Dear Rouge, Alejandra Ribera. She sits on the boards of the Canadian Independent Musicians Association, Unison Benevolent Fund, and was recently honoured by the Music Managers Forum 2019 Honour Roll Award as well as the 2018 Brian Chater Industry Award.

Cormac McGee

Cormac McGee is an artist manager at ArtHaus. He has produced and promoted hundreds of shows across North America, for artists including Post Malone, Kendrick Lamar, and Travis Scott, and at festivals such as SXSW, Mondo. NYC, NXNE, Manifesto and more. He has produced live events in almost every Toronto club, from dingy basements holding 30 people, to selling out 3,500+ tickets at Rebel Entertainment Complex. He takes a holistic and hands-on approach toward live event production and marketing, and has a keen ability to understand the goals and needs of artists, producers, and other stakeholders.
